Japan Wool Mohair Blends Self-striping Brushed Yarn
This brushed cone yarn, spun in Japan at a 1/13Nm count, features a soft halo and expressive self-striping effect created through industrial dyeing and fiber blending. The surface is airy and dimensional, while the core structure remains stable and suitable for both hand and machine work.
Fiber composition is not specified by the mill. Based on burn testing, the brushed halo fibers are predominantly animal-based (estimated 90%+), burning to ash-like powder — a characteristic consistent with wool and mohair-type fibers. This gives the yarn warmth, elasticity, and a soft, clouded texture that blooms beautifully when worked.
As an industrial surplus yarn, this cone reflects Japanese mill precision and material integrity, offering makers a distinctive blend of texture, movement, and quiet visual rhythm.

In case of yarn breaks, pull away about 10 cm of yarn before rejoining and secure with a small cross-knot to reduce tension and avoid distortion in the knitted fabric.
