Filpucci Haiku 100 Organic Cotton Cone Yarn · 1/4.8Nm · Italy
This GOTS-certified organic cotton yarn from the Italian house Filpucci is built on a wrapped construction that gives it firmness and structure rather than a soft, fluid hand. Spun at 1/4.8Nm, it is a substantial, bulky-weight yarn that holds its shape well, making it especially suited to home décor and structured woven objects rather than next-to-skin wearables.
This yarn is available in a range of yarn-dyed colorways, each understated and atmospheric, with a quiet depth that feels modern and considered. Every tone is especially suitable for statement home pieces, woven objects, and minimal aesthetic interior designs.
As an industrial surplus yarn, this cone provides consistency in spinning quality while maintaining flexibility for creative development. The wrapped organic cotton construction brings firm definition, natural strength, and a clean tactile hand, giving finished pieces lasting hold and crisp structure.

Important Notes
• This yarn is firm and structured, with a dry hand and a wrapped surface — it is not a soft, next-to-skin yarn
• Its firm structure makes it ideal for objects that need to hold their shape
• For best results, swatch before production to test tension and fabric density
• Cone yarn is different from skein yarn and must always be swatched before knitting to evaluate shrinkage and gauge
• As a fancy wrapped yarn, please allow approximately 5%–6% waste, which is standard for this construction
• As a certified organic cotton, light or white shades may show minor natural residue or stray fibers from the organic harvesting process — this is normal and not a defect
• The mill recommends keeping this yarn out of water where possible and dry cleaning it instead to protect the hand — hot water can change both feel and size in unpredictable ways
• If you would like to soften it, do the opposite of a normal wash: soak in cool water with a generous splash of white vinegar and a good amount of conditioner or fabric softener for about twenty minutes, then spin out and tumble dry on warm with a couple of towels. The tumbling matters more than the soaking — that is what works the softener into the fiber. Test on a small piece first
• Please note that colors may vary slightly from screen to actual yarn depending on display settings
• Some cones may be rewound onto empty cones without original mill labels
• May have mild outer dust or storage marks
• Sold as is, without retail packaging
• All yarns are 100% functional with no visible flaws or defects affecting usability
• Please note that cone yarn is wound in an industrial format
• In rare cases, internal breaks may not be visible from the outside of the cone
• In case of yarn breaks, pull away about 10 cm of yarn before rejoining and secure with a small cross-knot to reduce tension and avoid distortion in the finished piece
