IGEA Astro 50 Kid Mohair 18 Wool 32 Polyamide Cone Yarn · 1/10Nm · Italy
This brushed mohair-blend yarn from the Italian house IGEA pairs the airy softness of kid mohair with the body of wool and the strength of polyamide, giving it a fine luminous halo, feather-light weight, and a quietly luxurious handfeel. Spun very fine at 10000Nm, it is delicate yet resilient, making it especially suited to lightweight knitwear, held-together designs, and pieces built around softness and drape.
This yarn is available in a range of colorways, each softened by the diffuse halo that brushing gives — colors read as atmospheric and glowing rather than flat, with quiet tonal depth. It is especially suitable for minimal aesthetic knitwear, ethereal layering pieces, and timeless designs.
As an industrial surplus yarn, this cone provides consistency in spinning quality while maintaining flexibility for creative development. Kid mohair brings lightness, sheen, and a delicate halo, wool adds warmth and body, and polyamide lends strength and structure to this fine, high-yardage yarn.

Important Notes
• This yarn is fine and brushed, with a light luminous halo
• Being very fine, it is often held double or combined with other yarns — swatch to find your preferred weight
• For best results, swatch before production to test tension and fabric density
• Cone yarn is different from skein yarn and must always be swatched before knitting to evaluate shrinkage and gauge
• Brushed mohair yarns may release a small amount of loose fiber during knitting; this is normal and settles with use
• Please note that colors may vary slightly from screen to actual yarn depending on display settings
• Some cones may be rewound onto empty cones without original mill labels
• May have mild outer dust or storage marks
• Sold as is, without retail packaging
• All yarns are 100% functional with no visible flaws or defects affecting usability
• Please note that cone yarn is wound in an industrial format
• In rare cases, internal breaks may not be visible from the outside of the cone
• Please allow approximately 2%–3% knitting loss, which is standard for cone yarn handling
• In case of yarn breaks, pull away about 10 cm of yarn before rejoining and secure with a small cross-knot to reduce tension and avoid distortion in the knitted fabric
