Takizen Norma Paper Blend Tape Cone Yarn
This Japanese paper-blend tape yarn pairs the cool, dry character of washi with a luminous, silky sheen, presented in a flat ribbon (tape) construction that catches light beautifully and lends fabrics a fluid, modern movement. Light yet structured, it is especially suited to summer fabrics and lightweight garments with quiet drama.
The color 111 is a soft, warm beige — understated and atmospheric, with a quiet organic depth lifted by the yarn's natural luster. It is especially suitable for breathable summer knitwear, minimal aesthetic designs, and timeless layering pieces where subtle shine adds refinement.
As an industrial surplus yarn, this cone provides consistency in spinning quality while maintaining flexibility for creative development. The washi paper content brings natural strength, coolness, and a distinctive dry crispness, while the blend's pronounced sheen — likely from silk or rayon — adds a smooth, luminous, quietly luxurious touch.

Important Notes
• This yarn is light and cool, with a flat tape structure, smooth dry hand, and natural sheen
• As a tape/ribbon yarn, it knits up with a distinctive flat, light-catching surface — swatch to see how the sheen reads in your chosen stitch
• For best results, swatch before production to test tension and fabric density
• Cone yarn is different from skein yarn and must always be swatched before knitting to evaluate shrinkage and gauge
• Paper-based yarn softens and relaxes after washing — a gentle wash brings out its natural texture and drape
• For added structure or warmth, it can be combined with silk, cotton, or other fibers
• Some cones may be rewound onto empty cones without original mill labels
• May have mild outer dust or storage marks
• Sold as is, without retail packaging
• All yarns are 100% functional with no visible flaws or defects affecting usability
• Please note that cone yarn is wound in an industrial format
• In rare cases, internal breaks may not be visible from the outside of the cone
• Please allow approximately 2%–3% knitting loss, which is standard for cone yarn handling
• In case of yarn breaks, pull away about 10 cm of yarn before rejoining and secure with a small cross-knot to reduce tension and avoid distortion in the knitted fabric
